Born and raised in the heart of Texas, Eric Cartwright is a true son of the Lone Star State, and his music is a testament to the rich traditions of Texas country. Growing up in a single-mother household, Eric developed a strong sense of values and a deep appreciation for the simple things in life. As a young man, he tried his hand at bull riding, earning his share of bruises and scars in the process. Though he eventually hung up his spurs, the lessons he learned in the rodeo arena – about perseverance, hard work, and getting back up after a fall – have stayed with him to this day.

When he's not writing or performing, you can find Eric on the open road. The freedom and thrill of the ride are a perfect match for his adventurous spirit, and he often finds inspiration for new songs in the wind-whipped moments of solitude.
